Mascots

Each of our four groups has their own mascot who travels from member to member bringing encouragement and many tools to help you babystep your way to recovery. During your mascot's visit, you should do ONE thing that is out of your comfort zone. Each mascot has either a guardian angel pin or a worry stone that you are free to borrow while on your adventure. There is also be a journal for you to document your trials and triumphs together. When your visit is over, you snail mail your mascot on to the next person on the itinerary and share your experiences and any photographs with your group via e-mail. Participation in the mascot program is entirely voluntary, however we do encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful support tool.

GROUP ONE

Beary

Our first mascot's name is Beary Braveheart and he is a small light brown teddy bear. His name is so appropriate for anyone who has experienced panic and anxiety- it takes a courageous soul to fight that Panic Monster. Beary is from a mountaineous hunting region of Bavaria and never imagined he had so many Teddy relatives stateside. He has been visiting his online friends in group one helping them take one step closer to recovery.

GROUP TWO

Wally

Our second mascot's name is Wally Warhead and he is a 6" tall beanie dude. We chose Wally because warheads are a favorite tool of ours. They turn your face inside out but they work wonders on distracting you from a panic attack. Wally was born in Taiwan but grew up in the cornfields of Iowa. He is especially excited to be visiting all of his online friends in group two so he can share his candy and help them take their babysteps past the fear.

GROUP THREE

E.B.

Our third mascot's name is E.B. You might have seen him around- he's bright pink with long ears and very cool shades. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and played in his high school band. He's been marching to the beat of his own drum all over the world visiting group three members and inspiring them to keep on going in spite of anxiety.

Group Four

Momma Turtle

Group 4 Mascot is Momma Turtle or MT for short.. This mascot was named in honor of Marg..(turtleldr) because she coined the phrase turtle steps.. there are no short cuts to anyplace worth going and it doesnt matter how long it takes you to get there.. as long as you are taking steps.
